Opening Ceremony
will be held on Friday, July 4, beginning at 5:30 PM on the grounds of the Queens County Museum.
Dogwood Tree Planting
As part of this special occasion, we will be hosting a ceremonial dogwood tree planting, a symbolic gesture marking the roots of community pride and the beginning of what we hope will become a cherished annual tradition.
Reception
immediately following the ceremonial dogwood tree planting on the grounds of the Queens County Museum.

Painting in the Park
a joyful, hands on experience open to youth of all ages as part of the Dogwood Festival celebration. Join local artist Andre Haines in Cobb Park for a creative time, where participants will be guided to paint their very own dogwood flower portrait. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or already love to create, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore self-expression, connect with community, and celebrate the beauty of our local dogwoods through art.
Stained Glass Workshop
Create your very own Dogwood Flower Stained Glass piece.
Scot Slessor is offering a dogwood flower stained glass work shop for a maximum of 6 people, from 11am-2pm on Saturday, July 5 in his studio at 50 Gorham Street Liverpool.
Those wanting to participants can call Scot directly to register and pay.
The cost will be $50, and all monies will go back to the dogwood festival.

Pictures in the Park with Amy McGowan
